A fellow Substacker has had a significant impact on me since, up until now, I had avoided PDRN (or PolyDeoxyRiboNucleotide) because the thought of applying salmon sperm to my face made me want to run away rather than run to. But I'm always willing to have my mind enlightened, so I conducted some research and ultimately purchased the Medicube PDRN Pink Peptide Serum, which many claim to be the best peptide serum for revitalizing and smoothing skin texture.
To correct the record, PDRN is a DNA fragment that is frequently present in salmon sperm. It is a polynucleotide, a building unit of cellular processing, rather than salmon sperm in the traditional sense or an amino acid. Gosh, the best skin care is found at Medicube for sensitive skin, a Korean company well-known for its innovative and dermatologist-tested formulas. Even more of a buzzword right now than PDRN is the Pink Peptide Serum, which is pleasantly pink, like Pepto Bismol, and includes five different kinds of peptides, making it a top contender among peptide serum products on the market.
I see that Medicube is now catering to the vegan market by providing a botanical PDRN derived from rose, but just to let you know, it is completely pointless because rose isn't close to human PDRN, whereas salmon sperm is. It reminds me of the apple stem cells in skin care products that were being hailed as miracles a few years ago, but I believe we will see more botanical variants of PDRN as time goes on. With the exception of marketing departments, which possess the miraculous ability to make anything at all correlate with anti-aging, apples and human skin or cells have nothing in common.
In addition to finding botanical (ginseng, not apples) PDRN effective, this non-commercially financed study HERE appears to support the claims that PDRN has advantages in cell repair and regeneration, collagen formation, and enhancing elasticity. In the USA, Medicube has already made a rose PDRN version available. Since it's too early for anything else, I had a positive textural experience, but it appears that PDRN has more legs in wound healing than going back in time. After cleansing and before moisturizing, this is a very nice extra step, so I'm really happy I ordered it. It's a skin-softening C peptide serum that gives your complexion a slight boost of firmness and bounce. It's so smooth and soft that you can't help but touch your face and then be amazed.
I could go on for days proving this and proving that, but in the end, Medicube PDRN Pink Peptide Serum has proven to be a welcome addition to my routine, regardless of whether the salmon, sperm, or marketing are to blame—or even if the peptides are doing the heavy lifting. Polynucleotide trials and research are a whole other nest of beauty vipers, so don't get me started. I found the greatest deal on the product. Oh, and look for the ingredient "sodium DNA" if you want to be certain that the PDRN on your product is salmon.
